Dismaland
Back in the summer of 2015, street artist Banksy launched Dismaland, a temporary art project set in a disused lido in Weston-super-Mare. This pop-up exhibition was "a sinister twist on Disneyland" with a mix of rides, grim sideshows and art pieces along with actors portraying miserable park staff. There was a huge demand for the free tickets and the Dismaland website crashed repeatedly, but after persevering I managed to get a ticket and headed there with my camera. I was lucky to be one of the first visitors of the day so managed to take these images before the crowds arrived.
